Recommended Solar Connection for Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger
Question:
Im planning to add solar panels to my truck camper, which is solar ready. Do I need a seperate charge controller or does the Redarc BCDC1240D provide this function? I have already purchased this Redarc.

The Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Dual Input - DC to DC - 12V/24V - 40 Amp # 331-BCDC1240D is a smart charger so you don't need to have a separate controller for your solar connection. You will simply connect your trailer ready solar connection to the BCDC solar wire for that smart charger and maintenance function if you are utilizing that factory solar connector.
