Recommended Shank and Hitch Ball for Reese Straight Line for 2020 Ram 2500 with 2-1/2" Hitch
Question:
I have a 2020 RAM 2500 w/ trailer tow package 2.5 inch hitch reciever and am looking at the Strait-Line Weight Distribution system. I will be towing a 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2800BH. I believe I need RP66074 model, a 2.5 inch weight distribution shank and a 2-5/16inch Hitch Ball to complete the setup. Am I missing anything to complete my install?

The Reese Strait-Line # RP66074 is a great choice for this. Since your trailer has a GVWR of around 7500-lbs, and your loaded tongue weight should be between 10-15% of that (750-lbs to 1100-lbs), the RP66074 will work well since it has a tongue weight range of 800lbs to 1200-lbs. I really like that this weight distribution system uses sway control cams for a smoother ride that's going to be less tight than typical sway prevention hitches and it's going to provide superior sway prevention compared to a friction style sway control system.
For the 2-5/16" hitch ball I recommend using the # 19286 and for the shank you can use # RP54977, which would give you everything you need to get out on the road.
I've gone ahead and linked some review videos of these parts for you, as well.
