Recommended Flat Towing Setup for 2019 Jeep Cherokee
Question:
Since I will not be able to put this together myself. what parts are needed in addition to the tow bar unit? We are buying a class C Jayco motor-home that will be the tow vehicle. The people we ar buying this from used the Blue Ox brand and said it worked like a charm.

For your 2019 Jeep Cherokee we need to consider the model. If you have an Overland or Trailhawk model, I recommend using the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1143. Then you can use the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 10,000 lbs # BX7420 or the Blue Ox Ascent Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 7,500 lbs # BX4370 which you asked from.
If you do not have the Overland or Trailhawk model, I recommend the etrailer brand Invisible Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # e98953. This is compatible with thew same Blue-Ox Tow bars.
The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 will use your factory wiring while still protecting it. Some models of this vehicle may use Mortorq® fasteners. If your vehicle has these types of fasteners, you will need a PFMTS2E bit to remove them which can be ordered through a Snap-On dealer.
The Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional # BLU37TR will give you the braking you need. I've attached videos and links to assist. You will also need a high-low adapter to get you in the safe towing range.
