Installing Dutton-Lainson DL21741 Roller Bunks
Question:
I have 8 foot bunks now but noticed on installation video he used 2 4 footers and connected them together. I do not have any frame under the section where they would join together? Would I just mount two 4 footers to existing bunks? Also if I do that, would it raise load height to much since the reason Im installing rollers is because during summer months my existing bunks stay above water line? Thanks

You'd need to have that center section supported somehow, but you could always attach the roller bunks to the existing bunk boards, but it would effectively raise the bunks by 2-1/4 inches. Most bunk brackets are slotted so you can adjust the height, so if there's any room to lower your existing bunks, I'd recommend doing that. I've linked you to the demonstration/install video for the Dutton Lainson # DL21741 Roller Bunks.
