Is There a Cargo Box That Will Fit a 2015 Mazda CX 5 With Fixed Mounting Points

Question:

Hi - I have the Rhino Rack vortex racks and installed them in the fixed points on my 2015 Mazda CX5. We just bought a Thule roof box and the distance with the fixed points is too far apart to mount the box. Are there other fixed point locations on the Mazda or any accessories that allow me to bridge the gap to connect the box without buying new racks?

The 2015 Mazda CX 5 has fixed mounting points for a roof rack which are spaced apart much further than normal, 43" to be exact. I am not aware of another set of fixed mounting points that can be used so in order to use a cargo box you'd need to find one that can accommodate the the 43" crossbar spread. I wasn't able to find any cargo boxes that will fit large spread so best option would be to use the Thule Canyon XT # TH859XT-8591XT Cargo Basket along with the Curt Cargo Bag for Roof Baskets part # C18221.
