Trailer Brakes are Locking Up When Using 2007 Nissan Frontier
Question:
My 2007 Nissan Frontiers trailer brake connection7 pin/control, does not release electric brakes on my trailer? Disconnected what would be brake power and released? Worked as required on a factory Ford connection.

From what I can gather it sounds like the trailer brakes are locking up with your 2007 Nissan Frontier. There are many reasons for this to potentially happen, starting with a short on the 12 volt accessory circuit is shorting to the brake wire circuit from your brake controller.
You will want to check the wiring on the trailer to see if there is any damage, and after that you will want to check the connectors on your trailer and your Frontier for signs of damage or corrosion. If damaged you can replace the 7-way on your trailer with part # A10-7W6.
It is possible it is also the brake controller, so I have added links to some general wiring and brake controller troubleshooting I recommend taking a look at as well.
