Hitch For A 2017 Heartland NT 21FBS

Question:

I have a heartland NT 21FBS with an extendable bumper. I would like to add a reciever so I can take my polaris with me on trips. Is it ok to add a receiver and pull with an extendable bumper?

To pull your Polaris behind your camper I would recommend a hitch that mounts to the frame rather than the bumper. In my opinion there is not enough support in the middle of an extended bumper that would keep it from flexing with the weight of the trailer and your Polaris. It will cause the bumper to twist. I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide Item # 13703. This hitch attaches directly to the frame of the camper. It can be bolted on or welded on. Has a 350 lb tongue weight and a 3500 lb gross tow rating so it should work perfect for pulling your Polaris and trailer. Keep in mind you want to abide the laws for which ever states your travel into. In some states it may be illegal to tow two trailers.
