Sway Control Recommendation for Ford Truck that Can be Upgraded to Weight Distribution

Question:

I have a 2020 F250 curb weight 6568 lbs Trailer max 6500 lbs but most of the time I run at 6000 to 6200 lbs Do I need WD? I think I only need the sway control

Weight distribution wouldn't hurt even though your truck definitely has more than enough capacity for the trailer you are towing. I would try friction sway control first since that's what you are leaning towards like part # 83660 and then if that doesn't give you the towing experience you want you could always upgrade from there to a weight distribution system.

The Reese weight distribution system part # RP67509 is a great choice too that the # 83660 can easily integrate into as it has the correct tab for smaller ball that the system uses. This also has the correct tongue weight range for your trailer too at 400-600 lbs.
