Solutions for Trailer that Has Atwood Actuators Mounted Between Frame Rails

Question:

please send me the plan dimensions for straight mount actuator: how wide? need out to out dimension of main body at bolt region. how long are each of the 3 areas in plan/elevation? tongue, actuator region, back protector on electric lockout. do you have a drawing that shows the dimensions? what gage thickness metal is the base where bolts are mounted? i am trying to determine if i can replace my hitch system on boat trailer unable to replace the disc actuator parts. It looks like cutting in new DM8605101 hitch system is best way to repair my existing 2000 road runner boat trailer hitch.

Your trailer currently has an Atwood actuator (no longer made) welded between the two frame channels from the outsides. If you were able to remove the actuator you could replace it with the Demco part # DM62VR that you referenced. You'd weld it in place just like it is currently. Or you could convert the trailer to electric over hydraulic using an actuator like the part # HBA16 for if you have disc brakes or # HBA-10 for if you have drum brakes.
