What Is the PSI Rating for Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs for 2010 Chevy Suburban

Question:

I just installed Firestone Coil-Rites on my 2010 Suburban. In the main directions it says max psi of 35. On a separate sheet of directions it says the 2010 the max is 25 psi. I was wondering what the correct psi is and if it is 25 are the still rated to go up to 1000 lbs. Also do I always need to have air in them. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:

The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F4108 which are a fit for a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban without auto-level suspension have a minimum pressure of 5 psi and a maximum pressure of 25 psi according to Firestone. The weight capacity is 1,000 lbs, you don't have to be at max psi to achieve this though you would most likely need to in order to reduce sag/squat. The air bags do indeed need to have at least 5 psi in them at all times.
