Can a 2011 Honda Civic Be Flat Towed 4 Wheels Down?
Question:
Will the transmission let the car be towed 4wheel down

According to your owners manual, your vehicle is not able to be flat towed. Doing so is against the manufacturer recommendation and warranty.
Many people have towed a 2011 Honda Civic 4 wheels down and obviously there are manufacturers that make all the parts to do so. If you choose to do this, you will need baseplates, tow bar, safety cables, electrical wiring, supplemental braking system, and high low adapter. Here are my recommendations if you go that route:
-Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX2243
-Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 6,500 lbs # BX7380 (includes safety cables)
-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Wire to 6-Wire Straight Cord # RM-152-98146-7
-Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251
-Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400
You will also need a high-low adapter and I've linked a page to your options as well as an article to assist with determining the correct fit.
