Roof Rack to Carry 4 Bike Rack on 2011 Nissan Pathfinder

Question:

I have 2011 pathfinder with factory bars running front to back. Just wondering if these crossbars would be able to hold 4 bikes mounted side by side. Two adult bikes and two kids bikes to be exact. Or should I order a wider rack?

I would go with a wider roof rack like the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA118B-2 with the Rhino-Rack SX Series Legs # RRSX006. This system mounts to the raised rails on your 2011 Nissan Pathfinder.

Carrying kids bikes on your roof can be tricky depending on the size of the bike. The Yakima HighRoad # Y02114 is a wheel mount bike rack that fits 20"-29" tires. I would alternate each bike rack facing forward and and backward to make this fit better. If they are all facing the same way the handle bars may come in contact with one another.

To help reach the center bike racks the Rightline Gear Moki Door Step # RL100660 is a temporary step that attaches to your door frame latch to help you reach the center racks a little easier.
