What Is Actually Required to Install the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger
Question:
Im reviewing the Redarc BCDC 1240D and see a lot of additionalinch items that can or should be used to install this. Such as install kit $445.65, smart load disconnect $113.28, 40 AMp fuse kit $56.95, RK1260 relay $81.37, wire kit BDW20307 $58.94, monitor gauge $186.80, monitor gauge cup $41.85. What exactly is needed for the systeminch to work properly? Is there not a complete package that eliminates all these decisions? I currently have a 2014 GMC 3500HD with a 990 Arctic Fox truck camper, but may be switching to a Class C RV.

In regards to the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger part # 331-BCDC1240D, there are indeed a bunch of add-on's as the battery charger can be used in conjunction with other Redarc products such as the Manager 30 and RedVision. That said, all you really need to get setup and charging your battery/batteries would be the 60-Amp MIDI Fuse Kit part # 331-FK60 (For 40 Amp Models) and some misc. primary wire for power and ground etc. which you can pick up locally. The rest of the stuff you mention are extras or used to install this with the other systems mentioned above.
