Can 2 of the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier be Used for 80 lb and 55 lb Kayaks on a Honda CR-V

Is the rhino rack j style model S512 able to hold a 80pound kayak and 55 pound kayak if I purchase 2 separate systems on a Honda CR-V whose factory crossbars hold 165 pounds

Yes, technically you could. However, I what I recommend is using 1 of the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S512 plus the Extension Arms # RRS512X to transport both of your kayaks on your Honda CR-V.

This carrier has a 99 lb weight capacity when used for a single kayak, but when used with the extension, it goes up to 165 lbs so it will be more than enough for both of your kayaks at a much lower price point than if you were to buy two separate carriers.

You might also consider using the Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps # RRRBAS-2 if you don't have any tie-down points that are easy to access.
