Any Fuses or Relays Needed to Install T-One Connector # 118551on 2012 Ford Escape

Question:

2012 ford escape xlt with no tow package installed. I have already purchased the hidden hith for this vehicle, however I now need to run wiring. Does this product require the 3 fuses or any extra factory wiring to work, or is it everything I will need for a vehicle with zero factory towing options installed? I just want to make sure this will work with out installing extra wires or relays and relay receivers. Thanks a ton guys.

The Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness you referred to, part # 118551 is a complete kit to install a 4-pole flat trailer wiring harness on your 2012 Ford Escape. Nothing else would be needed to complete the install as shown in the video I linked you to.

The harness plugs inline with the existing tail light wiring harnesses behind the tail light assemblies. A power wire will need to be ran under the vehicle to the positive battery terminal. The connection between the battery and the converter is fuse-protected.

No other fuses or relays would be necessary.

On your Ford Escape look under the hood inside the power distribution fuse box and check the 20 amp fuse located in the # 8 location (the fuse map should be on the underside of the lid). This fuse is tied to the trailer tail light circuit so it likely needs to be replaced.
