Wiring Harnesses are Sold Separately and Hitch Adapters Reduce Towing Capacity
Question:
Does this trailer hitch come with the wiring? Also, this is listed as a 1 1/4 square hitch...do you guys sell the peg that takes that 1 1/4 up to a 2 opening? My dirt bike rail that i want to plug into this needs a 2 receiver. Thanks.

Wiring harnesses are sold separately from the hitches. The Draw-Tite Class II Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Hitch, part # 36297 does not come with the wiring harness. We do sell a hitch adapter that will convert a 1-1/4 inch hitch opening to a 2 inch hitch opening. It is the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4 inch to 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, item # HTAD. However, using this adapter will decrease your tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. The tongue weight capacity of this Draw-Tite hitch is 300 pounds, if you use the adapter, your tongue weight capacity reduces to 150 pounds. Please double-check the weight of your dirt bike and rail to make sure you are not going to overload the hitch.
