Proportional Trailer Brake Control Installation for Toyota Highlander Hybrid

Question:

Found a fairly nice tutorial on a Toyota Highlander forum that explains how to install a P-3 brake controller in a 08 Toyota Highlander hybrid. The individual mentioned part 90195 here and ETBC7 kit from your site. I have a factory hitch and 4 wire connector already installed, and it seems the individual who did the tutorial did as well and added the above parts to his vehicle to get electronic brake control for his trailer. But on your site it says the 90195 is only for use For The Toyota Highlander Hybrid without factory trailer connector. Is there something about the controller and wireing kit that makes it so it cant be used on a 08 Toyota Highlander Hybrid with a OEM harness/hitch? Thanks.

If your 2008 Toyota Highlander has the 4-way connector already installed on the vehicle you can use the ETBC7 and the 90195 Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller to install the brake controller and 7-way wiring harness on your vehicle. I know of no issues with the vehicle or controller that would keep this from working properly. The P-3 is an excellent performing controller and is a good choice for towing trailers with electric brakes.

The ETBC7 kit includes everything you will need to install the brake controller and trailer connector in one package and can be done with a professional look if you take your time. I do not have a video yet on the Highlander Hybrid but below I have posted a video with the installation of the ETBC7. You will not need the 4-way T-One wiring with a factory 4-way already installed.
