Roof Basket for 2016 Toyota Highlander

Question:

I own Toyota Highlander 2016. I got flush roof rail. I had already mounted Yakima landing pad, skyline tower and jet stream. I own a Yakima warrior cargo basket. It doesn’t not fit on crossbar width. How can I fix it.

With the crossbar spread being around 27-1/2" from center to center that falls between most roof accessories crossbar spread range. If you have a small basket like the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07070 is 44" long x 39" wide this will work. The crossbar spread needs to be between 24"-32" which your rack does. The clamps that attach the basket to your crossbars can be positioned in different spreads on the basket to accommodate different crossbar spreads.

If you have a larger basket like the Yakima MegaWarrior Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07080 Is 52" long x 48" wide then you will need to get a different basket. The larger sizes need a wider crossbar spread of 30"-38". This size will not fit on your vehicle's crossbar spread since your roof rack mounting location is fixed. You will need to go with a smaller version like The 44" x 39" LoadWarrior.
