Why Would Trailer Brakes Release After Being Applied for Several Seconds
Question:
When I press the brake pedal and brake controller gets a 10 output but then while I hold the brake it stops sending a signal to the trailer

Does the controller stop sending output after 30 seconds or so? Some trailer brake controllers are designed to eventually release the trailer brakes if the brake pedal of the vehicle is depressed long enough. This is for situations where you are at a stoplight and have your foot on the brake. At that point the trailer brakes would not need full voltage since you are already stopped.
