Is it Okay to Use Nev-R-Adjust Brakes with Nev-R-Lube Hubs

Question:

I have a tandem axle travel trailer with Dexter D52 5200 lb axles with Nev-R-Lube bearings. Two 2 questions: 1 Can I put the 12x2 Nev-R-Adjust brake assemblies on these axles even with the Nev-R-Lube bearing assemblies? 2 Is it OK to upgrade to the 7K brakes instead of 6K brakes? Thanks

As long as the brake assemblies you are replacing are 12x2, you can certainly use the Nev-R-Adjust brake assemblies. The brake assembly and the bearing system you are using would be unrelated, so there is no reason why you could not use the Nev-R-Adjust assembly.

There is also no reason why you could not upgrade to the 7000 lb capacity assembly like the # 23-464 and # 23-465. The brake shoes will be better and the magnet will be a bit stronger.
