Installing Outdoor Kitchen Using Grill and Separate Burner From Same Tank

Question:

I built an OD kitchen. Purchased a 30lb place tank. Installed 1/2” Galv pipe from outside building tank location to cabinet. Distance from tank to both appliances is about 4’. I Want to supply propane to a 175,000 btu grill and a 15,000 BYU side burner. What regulators do I need to make this work?

I recommend using the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w/ Hose for Type 1 Valve - 1/4" FIF and Disposable Cylinder # 103614-MBS and then the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 5' # 100575-60-MBS from your tank to the cabinet and 1/2 inch conduit and then using the MB Sturgis Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 11" Water Column Outlet # 108221. The burner line may need the MB Sturgis Single Stage Propane Regulator # 108072. The second hose will need to be run separately so you can use another conduit line if desired. If you want to use hard lines instead of the rubber lines, you will need adapters that we don't carry.

The regulator is only needed if there is not a regulator already on your appliances. You do not want multiple regulators running to a single appliance.
