Recommended Bike Rack for E-Bike with Fenders and Bike with Carbon Fiber Frame
Question:
I need a hitch to accommodate a heavy electric bike with fenders and a light carbon fiber bike without fenders. Is the Yakima hold up a good option or would you suggest something else?

That combination is a difficult one. You could look at the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV or the Inno Tire Hold # INH120. These are two different types of "tire-hold" carriers, but they both say "may interfere with front fenders. Is it an option to remove the front fender? You could check out the video and see if you think it could work for your bike with a fender. They both offer a 60 pound per bike weight limit and work with your 2 " hitch.
The second option that I have seen work would be a frame mount and a protector for your carbon bike. Take a look at the Thule EasyFold XT. It is a platform with three connections points. It holds both wheels and then comes in contact with the frame at one point. You could use the Thule Carbon Bike Frame Protector Item # TH984101 where that clamp comes in contact with your frame. The protector distributes the pressure over a large surface area to minimize the pressure on the frame. It has a soft rubber liner to prevent scratches. The Thule EasyFold has a per-bike capacity of 65 pounds and it also works with your 2" hitch.
A third option would be to put your bike with a fender on the roof with a carrier like the RockyMounts TomaHawk Roof Bike Rack # RKY1222. It secures your bike to the roof with only the bottom of the wheels and and no frame contact. However, it has a weight limit of 45 pounds. You would also need a roof rack and the roof capacity to hold it. We can help with this if you want to go this route. This would allow you to choose a one-bike rack for the other bike.
