Will the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter Void Any Warranties

Question:

hello. my name is rob. ive contacted your people before. my 5th wheel is here at dealer. I still have no hitch,i cant decide. tow vehice is a 2017 chev. 3500 hd duramax. it has the single bandw turn over ball in bed. my 4 choices for a hitch are bandw 3405 manual slide. nice hitch but too heavy. I have a bad back! 2nd choice a Andersen hitch, light weight. not so sure about it. people do seem to like them tho. 3rd is the reese goose box. raise the trailer clean box. I would also need the bandw 4 offset ball for more cab clearance. 6 6 bed in truck. the 4th choice which I just discovered on your site and by far the easiet is the convert-a-ball #c5gx1216 w/7.5 offset. simple light weight I can install it and not get gouged by dealer. the 5th wheel is a 2021 solitude 344gk which I believe has a 1621 lippert pin box. would this void frame warrenty ?

In regards to installing a fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter on a trailer, you do run the risk of voiding factory trailer frame warranty. That said, only the trailer manufacturer would be able to say for sure. In my experience, the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapters like part # CAB-C5GX1216 do void the warranty and the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapters like part # RP85FR do not. I personally prefer the Reese Goose Box since there will be less parts but either option will work just fine for what you need.

The 4" Offset Ball for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches part # BWGNXA4085 can be added for more turning clearance.
