Recommended Weight Distribution System for 2020 Jayco Eagle HT 280RSOK Travel Trailer
Question:
I am looking to purchase a new weight distribution system. I have narrowed my search down to either the Blue Ox 15,000 lbs or the Equal-i-zer 14,000 lbs. My camper is a Jayco 2020 280RSOK, dry hitch weight 1,155, Dry weight of the camper is 8,565 and the GVWR is 10,130 lbs. I am pulling it with a 2019 Silverado 2500 HD. Thanks

The Blue Ox # BXW1500 and the Equal-i-zer # EQ37140ET are both good systems, but if the tongue weight of your travel trailer falls into the 1000-1400 lb effective range of the system, the sway control effectiveness of the Equal-i-zer system is much better than that of the Blue Ox SwayPro.
Both systems are manufactured in the USA , but Equal-i-zer is manufactured by a company who's core business is weight distribution, that's their primary focus, and they're excellent at what they do.
If your tongue weight is above 1400 lbs but less than 1500 lbs, the Reese # RP66130 Strait Line would be a good choice. It's sway control effectiveness is actually a tiny bit better than that of the Equal-i-zer, but the Reese system has a more involved set-up.
I've linked to some product demonstration videos that you might find helpful.
