Measuring for the Correct Rise or Drop for a 2005 Land Rover Range Rover
Question:
I drive a 2005 range rover, and need to be able to tow with It. When I contacted another retailer they said that I would need to buy the ball mount direct from land rover at a high cost. Should this product be compatible with my vehicle? Thanks

If the hitch on your 2005 Range Rover is a Class III or higher hitch with a 2 inch receiver then you can use any compatible ball mount with the correct rise or drop required to tow your trailer level. To measure for the correct rise or drop needed, park the trailer and vehicle on level ground and then unhook from the trailer. Measure from the ground to the top of the receiver opening on the vehicle. Then measure from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler with the trailer level.
If the receiver height is higher the difference is the amount of drop you will need. If the coupler is higher, that is the amount of rise you will need. I have included a link to our FAQ on how to measure for the correct rise or drop and a link to our ball mount main page.
