How To Choose Between B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch 20K and 25K for a 2020 Ford F-450

Hello, I have a couple questions about fifth wheel hitch set ups. I have a 2020 Ford F-450. And I am getting a 40ft fifth wheel with a GVWR of 18,000 lbs. I want to purchase the BandW Companion hitch, but need to know if i can tow with the 20k hitch or if I should tow with the 25k hitch? Also, on the website, it says the only one compatible with the truck is the 25k hitch, however the Ford puck system is all the same for any model diesel. So if i can tow with the 20k hitch, will it fit my truck? Thank you for your time, Kyle

The B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package part # BWRVK3300 for 20K or part # BWRVK3305 for 25K will both fit a 2020 Ford F-450. In regards to capacity, the hitch simply needs to be rated for the GVWR of the trailer. If you want to go higher you can. I actually recommend going with the 25K option in the chance you get a larger, heavier trailer.
