Question:
I have a 2019 Subaru Outback. and am interested in a cargo carrier and a two inch hitch. We are driving to Maine and camping, and want to keep camping equipment out of the inside of car! What do you recommend?

We can get you set up with everything you'll need! For the hitch use the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98847. It is one of the easiest hitches to install on your Outback and will offer plenty of capacity for your cargo carrier.
For the carrier you can't beat the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches part # e98874 not only will this fold up when not in use but will also tilt away and help you to access your rear hatch area. This means you wont have to unload it to get into the back when you stop along the trip.
A couple of items that may come in handy is the etrailer Cargo Bag w/ Mounting Straps - Water Resistant part # 988501. this is a custom fit bag to the carrier and allows you to keep all of your gear out of the weather. the second is the etrailer License Plate and LED Tail Light Mounting Kit for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier part # e98943-44LED this will allow you to have lights on the rear of the carrier if yours are blocked and relocates your license plate too stay legal.
If you do go with the light kit use the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118467 to plug them into. This is a really easy installation and it will allow you to plug in any 4-way flat connector.
I have linked installation videos on the hitch and wiring as well as review videos on the other recommendations.
