Will Tow Ready Wiring Harness 118739 Affect the Trailer Stability Assist on a 2010 Volvo XC60
Question:
Volvo XC60s have something call Trailer Stability Assist. It detects excessive trailer wobble and begins braking individual wheels accordingly ... to bring the trailer back under control. If I use your module and wiring, is this feature still active?

Expert Reply:
Because the Tow Ready wiring harness, # 118739, connects to the tail light wiring for the proper signals and the vehicle battery to power the trailer lights, it will not interfere with the stability assist feature on your 2010 Volvo XC60. The tail light wiring and the stability assist are two separate systems. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
