My bike rack is a uses a 2 inch receiver. This one is 1 1/4. Do you make a hitch for 2inch which would be my preference or is there an adapter?

All of the trailer hitches for the 2012 Subaru Impreza are Class I trailer hitches with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. This means that you must use a bike rack that is Class I compatible AND you are limited to carrying 2 bikes maximum on the vehicle. A Class I trailer hitch cannot withstand the stress of having a third or more bikes on a rack because they will be too far from the receiver and the torque can damage the hitch and vehicle.
I do not recommend using an adapter because doing so will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent and the added length of the adapter will put even more stress on the hitch.
The best solution is to go with a Class I compatible bike rack that holds 2 bikes like the Swagman Titan, # S63400. This bike rack also features anti-sway cradles and the ability to tilt down. It also comes with an integrated cable lock. i have included links to the instructions and a link to a video review of the bike rack for you.
