Is B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch Available for Long and Short Beds on a 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Question:
I have a 2017 f350 with a 66 bed. The website only shows your companion hitch for an 8 bed. Is there an adjustment for my bed?

We recommend using the sliding version of the B&W Companion for short beds like what you have on your 2017 Ford F-350. If you have the OEM pucks then you need part # BWRVK3370 but if you have the B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1116-5W then you'll use the Companion # BWRVK3400-5W instead.
There have been people who have successfully used the stationary Companion # BWRVK3305 on a short bed and while this will fit the puck layout for the short and long beds, you need to be careful because with the short beds it's more likely that you could hit your truck cab with the trailer when taking sharper turns. That's why we recommend going with the sliding version.
