Trailer Hitch and Ground Clearance for a 2006 Toyota Matrix XRS and Curt Trailer Hitch # C12013
Question:
Just need Class II Trailer Hitch for Toyota Matrix XRS. Ground clearance looks kinda low below the spoiler and looks like it would possibly scrape the ground ?. Going to put Titan S63410 on. Let me know if I need anything else besides the hitch. Other place only has class I and although you would think I only need a class I - manufacturer and installer say class II only

The Curt trailer hitch # C12013 will have the receiver just below the rear fascia on your 2006 Toyota Matrix. Take a look at the review with pictures on the product page to get an idea of where it will be. Curt does say that you need to use a stabilization strap, # 18050, for any non-trailer loads such as a bike rack.
It will be close to the ground and steep inclines like driveways could cause the hitch to scrape on the ground.
Going with the Class II is the right way to go. It will give your more choices for racks and carriers.
I recommend a bike rack that has a rise in the shank to provide more ground clearance. The Swagman Titan, # S63410 that you referenced is a great choice for you. This rack has a 3 inch rise in the shank for greater ground clearance. It has anti-sway cradles, can tilt down, and it has an integrated cable lock. I have included some links on the hitch and on the Titan for you to view.
