Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Issue on 2006 Ford F-150
Question:
My trailer brakes would lick up when in reverse. I took it to a hitch and trailer place and they replaced the blown #10 fuse in my 06 f150 truck. Now my parking lights wont turn off and my battery died?

It sounds like you have some crossed wires and that is likely what blew that fuse to begin with. It sounds like there is bleedover from your reverse function pin to your brake controller output pin. It sounds like there is also bleedover from your 12v power to your running lights. The inside of your connector is likely what is the issue.
I recommend replacing your trailer connector with the Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket - Vehicle End # PK11893 or the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End # HM40975.
