How To Use 2" Bike Rack On 2015 Honda Fit

Question:

Hey! I have a question about my Honda Fit with the bike rack with have. We are looking to get a hitch but we are worried the fit is too small. According to your website, the hitch that would work for our 2015 Honda Fit is the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2, the bike rack we have is the Thule T2 Classic 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2 Hitches - Tilting... will the hitch above, that we want to purchase listed above, be able to hold that bike rack and 2 mountain bikes around 30 pounds each? we usually use this bike rack for these bikes on the SUV but we are hoping to find a way to make it work on the FIt. Would you say it would work okay? And my other question is what Class is that hitch? is it a 1,2, or 3? Thank you!

In order to use a bike rack with 2" shank on a 2015 Honda Fit such as the Thule T2 Classic you will need to use the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7273 which is the only available 2" hitch option. The EcoHitch has a super hidden design so it will look very nice on the back of the vehicle. It does actually not use any sort of class rating but class III would be most appropriate if one had to be assigned That said, so long as you are under the 300 lb tongue weight rating which you will be you'll be good to go.
