Does Curt Class I Hitch # C11174 Require Drilling to be Installed on a 2000 BMW 323i
Question:
Do you have to drill in to the bumper?
asked by: Jill T
Expert Reply:
No, you do not have to drill into the the bumper on your BMW 3 Series but you do have to drill 8 holes in the spare tire well. You may also want to use a sealant to ensure no water will enter the spare tire compartment after installation. The ball mount pin and clip are included. So after installation, you will only need trailer wiring, # C59496, and a properly sized hitch ball, # 19256 or # 19258, to be ready to tow. Below you will find links to instructions and the above mentioned products.
