Recommended Weight Distribution with the Ford Anti Sway System
Question:
I have a 2020 Ford Expedition Max with heavy duty towing. The spec sheet for the vehicle says it includes sway control. Should I get a non-sway control weight distributing hitch for my travel trailer or would one with sway control be of extra benefit? Thanks

The sway control system on your 2020 Ford Expedition is designed to help after the sway event starts. With that said I highly recommend going with a weight distribution system that helps to keep it from ever happening like one similar to the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control part # EQ37100ET which is by far my favorite.
When choosing a system you want one that has the tongue weight rating that is equal to the tongue weight plus anything behind the rear axle. So for 600 lb tongue weight and 200 lbs. in the Ford you want a system that operates at the 800 lb. mark. The one mentioned above is for 600-1000 lbs so it is perfect. If your is more or less than this choose accordingly.
