What Parts Do I Need to Trim to Install the Curt C13234 Hitch on a 2020 Ford Edge
Question:
13234 hitch for a 2020 Ford Edge. Will this require making a visible bumper to install?

Expert Reply:
You won't need to trim the actual bumper when installing the Curt # C13234 on your 2020 Ford Edge, but there are some pieces of the heat shield panel and under body panels that do need to be modified slightly in order to allow for the installation of the hitch. These modifications can be done with a tin snips, so they're not too serious. If you fast forward to around the 8:00 mark of the installation video that I've attached, you can see this process in greater detail.
If you're planning on towing with this Curt hitch you'll also need a wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball to complete your towing setup. I've linked the parts we recommend for this below in case you also need those.
Wiring: Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 way Connector # 118805
Ball Mount Kit: etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 (comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 hitch balls, hitch pin and clip)
