Brake Controller Adapter for Prodigy P3 in 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
I purchased a tekonsha 90195 p3 brake controller and now I need a wiring harness with plugs on both ends for my 2018 Silverado 1500. Because I am confused about the ground and hot wires on the pigtails from the controller and the one that came with the truck. They do not match up color wise. So, please tell me if you have a plug and play harness for my truck. Thanks.

I linked a video of us installing the Prodigy P3, part # 90195, in a 2014 Chevy Silverado. The instal is the same on your 2018.
We used harness # 3016.
The harness plugs into the factory connector in your truck. The connector is behind a black box that's back behind the emergency brake pedal. You won't need to worry about the wire color with the adapter harness since it's designed to be plugged right in but on the controller side the black wire is for power, the white is ground, the red is the input signal from your truck's stop light switch, and the blue is the output that goes back to the trailer brakes.
