Recommended Mounting Bracket for 7-Way Trailer Connector Install on 2007 Toyota Turndra
Question:
Good Evening. I intend to purchase the HM11143395 confirmed replacement for my OEM harness that is damaged I have the Drawtite 41935 hitch on a 2007 tundra used it to replace OEM hitch that was damaged as well. The question is what is the ideal MOUNTING setup for the wiring harness considering the hitch is squarefoot setup vs. curved welded hitch. Ive been looking at the tow ready mounting bracket Item # 18140 will using the harness and the mount give enough clearance to look clean/ ive been trying to figure out the depth of hm11143395 but unable to identify exact size dimensions. Can you provide any assistance or guidance on ability to choose a good mount for usage on drawtite hitch w/ the hm11143395 harness ? Thank You! you guys rock!

I'd use the # C57202 no-drill bracket to attach the bracket to the hitch crossbar. Install the no-drill bracket to it comes over the top of the crossbar so you won't reduce the ground clearance. The # 18140 bracket you mentioned wouldn't be a good choice, as it'll sit too close to the front of the crossbar. The no-drill bracket works perfectly with a square tube hitch crossbar.
If you click the provided link, you can see the no-drill bracket being used with a standard 7-way, and see that the finished product looks like.
