Is It Normal for CTEK Charger to Take Days to Get to Final Charge Setting on Recondition Mode
Question:
I have a C-TEK 7002 charger hooked up to a,n Optima red top battery. The battery was deeply discharged prior, due to the outlets power outage I was not aware of. The battery was slowly re-charged back up and after that, I put it in the RECOND mode. The manual states this mode should last .5-4 hours. However the charger does not coming out of this mode now past 20+ hours. Questions: Why and how bad is it for the battery, will it ever move on to the next phase or there is anything possibly wrong with the charger or the battery ? Thanking you in advance for your reply.

I have put a couple batteries on the recondition setting of the CTEK chargers and they took a few days before they got into the final setting. I'd leave it on for a few days and check it.
