Finding Correct Brake Switch Wire on a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to Install a Brake Controller

my difficulty is determining which wire of 6 connecting to the brake switch is the correct one for connecting the red wire from the controller?

Expert Reply:

You will need to test each of the wires with a circuit tester like # PTW2993 if needed to determine which is the correct one for a brake controller red wire.

You will want the wire that only shows power when you step on the brake pedal. If you find a wire that seems right but also shows power when the head lights and/or turn signals are on, it is not the correct wire. I have included a link to an FAQ article on brake controllers.
