Replacement Motor and Linkage for Steps with Kwikee 909506000 Control Box

Question:

Have a 2004 Winnebago Journey. Steps will not completely retract in. Not sure what I need. Motor or linkage? Either way, I cannot find a motor part replacement for 909506000. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

It looks like the Kwikee 909506000 part you're referring to is the control box. While most of the parts corresponding to this control box have been discontinued for anything built before 1999, we do have a solution for you on this.

Since it appears your steps would likely have been manufactured between 1999-2005 you will need an update of all the electronic components and can use Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit for your series 22 steps, # LC379145. This kit includes the controller, motor, curved linkage, 4 way pigtail fasteners, clevis and cotter pin.

This will give you a completely new electrical and motor system to get your Kwikee steps back up and running again. I've linked an installation video of these parts that you may find helpful to have a look at.
