Can Curt Cargo Carrier be Extended 14 Inch for use on Van With Spare Tire

i have a 1995 dodge camper van with spare tire mounted on back. can the rack be extended out from the hitch by 14?

You can absolutely extend the 22-1/2x49 Aluminum Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18100- all you need is a 14" hitch extender and you'd be set.

For that I recommend the Curt Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches - 14" Long # C45795.

If you meant that it was a total of 14" from the hitch pin hole to clear the spare tire, since the cargo carrier measures 10-3/4" from the hitch pin to the closest part of the carrier you could use a smaller extender, the Yakima StraightShot Hitch Extension - 2" Hitches - 7-1/4" Long, Item # Y69VR.

Please keep in mind the use of any adapter reduces the capacity of your hitch by 50 percent. Additionally, you will need to secure the adapter to your hitch, which you can do with Pin and Clip # PC3 or Hitch Lock # e98880.
