Should Threads of Aluminum Propane Regulator be Sealed with Tape or Sealant
Question:
Would you recommend putting tape/pipe dope on the brass threaded pipe connection going into an aluminum propane regulator?

Yes, you will want to use some sort of thread sealer like part # LT37482 or pipe tape like part # A05-0265 on the NPT fittings inside of the aluminum propane regulator. As a general rule, all NPT fittings should have some sort of thread sealer or pipe tape on them.
