Recommended Curt Slider Hitch for 2004 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
I have a 2004 dodge ram 2500 diesel. 4 dr short bed. I am buying a 2020 Forrest River 5th wheel. It has UVW of 8368 lbs, GVWR of 11525 lbs, cargo can be up to 3157 lbs max, hitch weight of 1325 lbs. I want a Curt slider 5th wheel hitch, what do you recommend? Thanks for your time.

The Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider part # C16521 is the perfect option for a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 when used with the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit part # C16420-204 which makes for no-drilling into the frame. I personally love the A16 because it has a secure dual jaw system which limits movement and an easy to remove head which saves your back.
I also recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness part # C56071 to complete your setup.
