Will Reese M5 5th Wheel Hitch Fit Puck System on a 2010 Ford F-450 Super Duty
Question:
I just purchased a 2010 F450 with the under bed mount system. I believe this hitch will fit but I cannot find the dimensions for the base mount. I have measured the pucks in the truck and they are 30inch wide by 13inch deep. The only hitch I found with dimensions is the BandW Companion, but I dont know if I like that hitch. I am towing a 16,800lb 5th wheel. Thanks

If you have the OEM puck system from Ford then that means you have the Reese Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit # RP30073 installed on your 2010 Ford F-450 Super Duty. This has the pucks measuring 30" x 13" apart just like what you mentioned.
With that being the case, the Reese M5 # RP30921 will definitely be compatible with your pickup. This is a newer addition to the Reese lineup of 5th wheel hitches (April 2020) but from what I've seen it looks to be very well accepted by the towing community and people really like how it looks and performs.
The B&W Companion # BWRVK3300 is also a great hitch that is one of the best-known and reliable options on the market. It's a favorite around here just because we know how well it performs plus it is made here in the USA.
I've attached review videos of both options for you to check out. Both options are rated for 20,000 lbs so they would easily be able to handle the weight of your 5th wheel trailer.
