Can the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step for RVs be dis-assembled for re-painting?

There aren't instructions for the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Steps # LC432690 to be disassembled, but there isn't any reason why you couldn't take them apart for re-painting. It does look like some of the parts are riveted and not bolted, so you may not be able to completely disassemble.
