Parts Needed to Install 7-Way and Brake Controller in 2001 GMC Sierra with no Trailer Wiring  

Question:

I have a 2001 GMC sierra 3500hd sl dump truck. I am going to buy a trailer and realized that it has no hook up for the electrical plug for trailer lights and brakes. what do you have that will work?

You'll have to start with a universal 4-way part # C59496 to provide the 4-way for the lighting circuits and then convert it to a 7-way to install a brake controller with the # ETBC7. Then you'd want a brake controller which for that we recommend the Brake EVN part # TK63VR as it works extremely well and is priced great too.
