Trunk Bike Rack with 12 Inches Between Arms for 2017 Honda Civic Sedan

Question:

I am look to purchase For my 2017 Honda Civic 4 door sedan a bike rack. I have a smaller older Trex woman’s mountain bike-Alpha Superlight Aluminum 4300 SL 16”. 40.5 cm. It says Sync Gino 323? The space from bar to bar can be no larger than 14-15 inches. I once had a bike rack that accommodated my bike and got rid of it when I moved. Now looking for a new one and I can’t find one with the bars only about 12 inches apart to fit my bike without using an adapter. Can you please help me out? Thank you,

I have the perfect solution for you with the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02634. The distance between the two adjustable arms (outside cradle to outside cradle) is 12 inches, so if your previous bike rack with the arms closer together, like this one, didn't require you to use a bike adapter bar # Y02531, then the Fullback will do the same.

This is one of my favorite trunk mount racks because it is extremely sturdy and secure. It features anti-sway cradles and ratcheting straps to hold the bikes at 3 different points, minimizing bike to bike and bike to vehicle contact during transit. It also has an integrated cable lock as well as a security cable to lock your bikes to the rack as well as to secure the rack to your trunk. And you don't have to worry about any potential scratches since every single contact point is rubber-lined.

I've attached a video showing this bike rack installed on a similar year Honda Civic sedan
