Explanation of Trailer Tire/Wheel Offset  

Question:

I would like to replace 6 rims and tires on my trailer. I understand most of the rim specs, How do a determine if my current rims are 0 offset or not. Please answer when possible

Most of the trailer tires will have what is called a zero offset. That means that the direct center of the wheel and tire is measured to where the wheel mounts to the hub face. If you remove your tire and wheel and measure from the back edge of your tire to that hub mount/back side of the center bolt plate on your wheel and do the same from the front of the tire to that back side of the bolt plate on your wheel they should be equal which is a zero offset.

A positive offset would pull the wheel and tire further into the vehicle and a negative offset would push the tire and wheel away from the vehicle. I've attached a video of # TA69VR to help explain offset with the visual.
