Material of Bike Frame Adapter Bar Hooks

Question:

I am looking at the bike frame adapter bars to use to put a women’s bike on a rack Some of yours say the end collars that attach to the bike are plastic. Others do not say what the collars are made of Are some made of metal?

Some of the bike adapter bars, like my favorite of them the Swagman # 64005, have metal hooks that are coated in vinyl. The vinyl protects your bike from getting any scratches.

I like the Swagman because the tube is easy to extend or retract and the hooks open to the side instead of up. The bars that have hooks that open up are harder to use sometimes becaue the seat often gets in the way of the hope hook.
